BreakinAnkles
So I absolutly hate the floats on my transducers. Just way too much trouble getting caught up in a mess everytime I bring a fish up. I've owned a couple Vexilars in the past and the first thing I did was take off the float. This year I decided to get a Hummingbird 45. With the whole two cord and float setup going on this weekend I was very frustrated and lost multiple fish because of it. Is it really necessary to use the extra line and float so there is no tension on the transducer cord? Could I just scrap that whole thing and just drop the transducer down alone like I used to do with my vexilar?
WollMan
Get rid of the second cord, not needed. you can use the bird 'ducer just like you would any other flasherI think the second cord was put on to protect Bird from being sued because Vex has a patent.
