Benjy
I just got a new underwater camera to use in my wheel house this winter. I have an 8x16 ice castle with six holes. Lots of times I will have 3 guys fishing in there so I want to use all six holes for fishing lines. I'm wondering the best way to get my camera down without using a regular hole to do it. I could punch another hole in the floor, but there isn't a convenient spot to do that and I don't really want to be stepping around holes every time we walk around. I'm wondering if I could punch another hole just outside of the house, keep the camera unit inside and just run the camera and cable out under the frame and into the hole. I'd still be within maybe 2 feet of the other holes and should be able to have the camera looking at a couple of the lines on one side of the house. Any suggestions for me?It also seems like running the camera down the same hole you are fishing out of is just asking for line getting tangled with the camera cord when you get a fish on...... mainbutter
You've got all your options laid out for you.I don't use cameras, but the ones that seem to make the most sense to me on youtube are the ones positioned a little further away and can keep a handful of lures in view. Ishikawa
Aqua-Vu Mo-Pod 3! Perfect for what you need it for. Haven't used it personally though but should work well for what you want to do.

Wolffy
when we had our camera we drilled a hole outside and ran the wire trough the window. we also had a camera from cabelas that the lens turned inside the unit. drop it down the hole and use a key fob to rotate it almost all the way around. used it 3 times and it quit working. took it back and got money back. cameras dont work very well down here due to water clarity. walleyeking19
we have the same problem with wanting to get all our lines down. Usually what we do is pick a hole for the camera inside the house and fish 5 lines in the house and do a tip up outside. That way we can cover a little more water, while still using a camera. But once it gets close to primetime we pull the camera up. I think they spook fish when they swim through.
