Good map of public hunting areas

Anyone know of a good map of public hunting areas in MN and where I can get one? Also what are the regs for duck hunting on lakes, can you pretty much hunt on any lake?

The DNR HSOforum has good maps of WMA's in their Recreation Compass.. other than that its hard to find anything that is up to date and has good maps.

For lakes you can hunt on .... I believe you can hunt just about anywhere that is not within city limits and has a public access, or public land to access it from.

MN Gazeteer (sp.?) It is a large red atlas like book that will show every single road, pond, lake, etc...in the state. It will also so all the public hunting areas in a brownish shade outlining the areas. It is an awesome tool for hunting and fishing! You can find them at Fleet Farm, bookstores, sporting goods stores, maybe even a gas station! They are about $15 or so.

Those gazetter maps that were mentioned,I have seen them @ Sam's club they were only 9.98 or about that! Thats the cheapest I've found! They are a must for all sportsmen & women!

Check the PRIM series sold by the DNR (and available in many sport shops). PRIM stands for Public Recreation Information Map, and the state is divided into about 50 such areas. You can locate the one you need by a master map on the back of any PRIM. You can inquire toll free of DNR folk by calling 1-800-657-3929.

PRIM with the Minn Atlas and Gazeteer make a great combination.
