Andy Loos1432404924
Wondering if the geese are finally flying out past the refuge. All I see is geese in town everywhere and the guys I have talked with haven't shot much. Duck hunting was good on the river this year, so no reason to head to Rochester, but with late season hopefully the action picks up.

Bryce
We never fired a shot. Saw 3 groups that never gave us a look. Very little other shooting wnw of town. Would've figured good shooting in the storm. This was early. Probably about half of what the snow total ended up being.

Stringerless!
Working in Savage today. Cancelled concrete and on drive back home there steady streams of geese heading south. Got 17 inches snow in Wyoming and no wind. Fields have to be done around home.

Bryce
That is not too surprizing. You do realize the storm didn't hit Rochester until just before dawn? Storm was stronger than expected and reaced further south than predicted. Everyone in town expected the birds to go on a feeding frenzy in front of the cold wave. johnsd16
Geese are starting to thin out now. Saw a couple thousand yesterday, with very few takers. Stale birds but some worked very well, four for two guys. Also got to see the most reduculous sky busting I have ever seen in my 17 yrs of hunting. Many vollies at flocks well over 100 yds. Not what you need, further education/conditioning of December roch geese. Morons must have shot 30+ rounds

johnsd16
Birds moved into the south part of town a couple of days after cities got the snow. There are some huge feeds out south and west but them move around. Good hunting weather over the weekend with quite a bit of shooting this morning for many groups. Hide is key. We managed a three man limit yesterday and a two man limit this morning. Both hunts in just an hour or two then pulled out. There are scattered flocks in many fields around the big feeds as well.
