Coming up north

I will be coming up north to help my dad do some work on the cabin Friday night in the pine river/backus area and I'm wondering if anyone has been catching fish up there? We were thinking about taking the stuff along and fishing Saturday if the ice permits.

I haven't been up to the Pine River/Backus area, but there isn't much ice here in Brainerd. Round Lake opened back up yesterday and was still open this morning. I would say things are sketchy at best!

If the lakes are small and didn't open back up I hope by next sat there is at least 5 inches thats my personal min. for ice thickness.

I hope so too, we will be working not too far from Godfrey's right on 371 there so if anyone in that area has any ice reports or luck fishing in the next few days any information would be great.

Eyedr, we have a cabin on the mountain, Checked Bueber-3inches, 2 on the shore of the mountain. Good luck, say hi to dave at the corner store for me.
