crossover that can pull a four-place trailer?

Recommended Posts

The wife has a new Durango (2012) with the hemi in it. Had it about a year and she's been getting 19-20 mpg everyday driving 10 miles one way to work a little better on long trips. Tons of power, lots of room and very quick. A friend has an Acadia and likes our Durango better. Time to do some test driving.

This just doesn't seem to be all that much of an issue. With 4 sleds and trailer weighing approx 3300, it seems that darn near any little SUV/crossover should be able to handle it.

Even the GMC Terrain is rated at 3500lbs towing, with the 6cyl engine, but it only gets 16/22 mpg vs getting 22/32 mpg with the I4.

Anyways. I would feel comfortable driving that or something similar to MI with 4 sleds. Just take it slow, brake early and keep it in the proper gear for towing.
