MuskieFever
Today I will be buying a walleye rod to pair with my Abu cardinal. I've narrowed my selection down to a few rods: fenwick 28", Jason Mitchell walleye 28", st croix 28", 13 fishing wicked or white out. I have experience with croix and Jason Mitchell and I really like both; but I havent used an ice fenwick or any or 13 fishing rods. I also like taping my reels on, how are fenwick and 13's reel seats? Any opinions or reviews? Thanks.
Hartley
Thorne Bros. Perch Sweet heart 28" with a 5" sweet heart cork handle. Just my $.
MuskieFever
I've looked at them, nice rods but double the cost and takes 3-4 weeks. I'm in ND we have some ice already.

holmsvc
Where in ND? I have a 28 inch JM Walleye rod I would sell you. I just got a 32 inch Walleye SH.
mww24
You could have a stock thorns bros walleye sweetheart shipped sooner I bet. I think the customs are at 3-4 weeks. I personally like taping my ice reels on too. Allows you to put the reel how you like it. Id buy st croix if it were me. I just like their ice rods. Fishin4fun_MN
Have to 13 Fishing Wicked Ices rods, 25M and 26ML. I wouldn't trade them for anything but a Thorne Bros. or Bricker's Custom. Would take another 23 Fishing over another Croix. if that says anything. Fennwicks are new this year and I know nothing other than I love my open water Fenwicks. Am looking to get a Jason Mitchell yet this year myself.
MuskieFever
Thanks for all the input. I live in grand forks by the way. I decided to give fenwick a try. I love my open water fenwick and this one just felt great in my hands. This is my first reel seated ice rod, hopefully getting out on a few inches this weekend to test it out. I went with the 28" ML. I have been wanted to get a thorne bros musky stick but just waiting on my bank account; they look sweet! I just found out this season that thorne makes their own ice rods, and like stated above, they seem to be top of the line.
