Guest
I am in possession of DU collector's whiskey containers that are of a porcelain type constuction with a gold duck for the content opening. The one from 1972 has mallards and cans on it with the words "Wings Across the Continent: on the side with Original Design;Limited Edition on the bottom. The 1973 model is the same as 1972 - white in color with the same slogan across the side. It has two pictures - one is a mallard and hen head shot, the other is a pintail and hen head shot. The 1974 model is unlike the other two - it has a mallard sitting at the base of reeds (the reeds extend and this is where the whiskey would be poured from). The bottom says that it is genuine regal china; it does not have the gold duck stopper the other two have.I inquired with the people at DU about value and they couldn't offer me a guess as they only date collector's items back to 1982. I would like to sell all three items and would like an idea of their value. Any feedback would be appreciated: [email protected]P.S. All three pieces do not have the original boxes they came in, but they are all in good shape.
GullGuide
I would suggest going on to hsolist and see if any are up for auction. You'll get a pretty good idea of how much people are willing to pay for it if you watch the item and get the closing price.Let me know when you figure it out, might be interested in one.>"////=<
