Anybody ever do this?

Trapped a bunch of real nice sized river shinners this fall, would it be worth my time to bag em and freeze them for hardwater walleye?

You'll need to review the rules on transporting bait, but yes it would be worth it to brine them and then freeze. The do this all Fall long on LOW and use them all Winter.

Yes. Make sure you are legal in the river where you trapped them.

I thought I could put 3-4 doz. in a ziplock baggie and use the heads on jigging spoons or rapalas. Why would I need to brine them? I'm planning on just using the heads for adding scent.
