Rouney725110
With all the new lines out there now it can get kinda confusing. So what is the different between mono and Floro line?
DLD24
mono stretches and floro doesn't really stretch and is the hardest to see in the water..
PerchJerker
Flouro is nearly invisible in the water so it's good for ultra clear conditions, and flouro has minimal stretch so it is good for fishing deeper. But it can be very stiff and springy, and you need to be extra careful to tie good knots. Mono is much easier to use and handle, but it is more visible underwater and it has a lot of stretch to it. Using low visibility mono takes care of most of the visibility concerns. Personally, I like copolymer lines for most applications, you get the best qualities of mono and flouro together in a good copolymner line. I don't use flouro that often, and when I do it is usually a 2-4 foot section I tie to the end of a braided line. I usually use this set-up in deep and/or clear situations. If you want a good flourocarbon line for ice fishing, I'd take a look at P-Line. Hope that helps and good luck
