pheasant /duck hunting in the lake benton area?

hello,

this is my first post, i am planning a trip with my son to the lake benton area for some hunting. Is this area good hunting or should we hunting south dakota on our way in.

i have have family i this area and they are farmers.

I'm from california looking for new horzisons,it is getting tough hunting in this state.

to the north of lake benton is good too around ivanhoe--Brookings, SD will be about the same as western MN --have to go farther west into SD to get better but both states aren't as good these last 2 years. Good Luck!
