Plastics for Ice Fishing

I've had pretty good fishing over the past few seaasons using Little Atom plastics for panfish. I sometimes still use Eurolarva, but otherwise generally don't use bait for panfish. What other plastics have been successful for you? What colors or shapes do you prefer? My "go to" shapes are the Little Atom "Duppie" and "Skimpie" in white or purple.

im always confused about sizes, like is it smaller the numbers, the smaller the hook size. or opposite?

Without a doubt plastics have changed the game!! I love fishing with Northland Impulse, they definitely got it right. Scent and action, size, profile.. My favorites are the tapeworm,1" mini smelt, and the tadpole. My tackle box is filled up with them and I cant wait to put them to use. I used the tapeworm with some good success last ice season, and have used the new designs all summer long.

I agree with Jim on the Impulse plastics from Northland. They just work and they are tough and long lasting plastics. Personally, I have been fishing with them for over a year and have great success with them. My favorite is the waterbug and the 1" smelt.

Ice fishing sizes will all depend on the mood of the fish. So play around with sizes during your fishing.
