Frabill Thermal Trekker thoughts

I've been seriously looking at either a thermal Trecker or thermal Predator. On another post someone said that the Frabill tubs aren't quite as strong as the Clam tubs. The Clam tubs are blow molded making them tougher, a consideration if you will be towing it alot. I've decided to wait until the Ice fishing show at the end of the monjth to make a decision.

I got the non thermal trekker for early and late ice when I can't drive out. Light weight yet enough room to fish 2. I liked it so much that bought a thermal guardian. A little more room and thermal is so much better. The guardian has almost as much room as the predator but not so heavy that me and my son can't lift it into the truck. Watch the sales and you could have the best of both worlds. After sitting in the others at the show I personally think Frabill is the way to go.

thanks for the info guys. I would be using it predominantly as a drag sled as I fish a lot of lakes with no access, no sled or 4 wheeler unfortunately. I am gonna check at the Blaine show as well but like what I see vs a clam or otter. Price is much better too.

So I emailed Frabill support and got this in response to whether the Trekker has Norpac or not.

I just don't understand why the 1 man Commando and the Guardian and Predator do have it, but not the Trekker.

Unless their own HSOforum is no correct. I've seen different information in different catalogs. Reeds catalog specifies that all of the flip over models with the "premium 3-ply" material. But the Frabill site contradicts that. Also weight and dimensions are inconsistent sometimes. Just wish there was more QC on these printed catalogs and websites. Frustrating when one is trying to shop for the ideal shelter for one self when the facts are inconsistent.
