Do Any of You Use a Palm Rod for Panfish?

I am wondering if any of you have used either the Marmuska or the Fiskas palm rods for panfish. I am curious and thinking of trying one this season. On one hand they look sort of like toys, but on the other hand I read that they are used a lot in European fishing competitions. If you've tried them both, which do you prefer? Here is a picture of the Fiskas Jonttu rod. Thanks!

Blackdog, used them a lot last year during and before the Team USA Tryouts. They have their place and work pretty well for being real precise in your presentation. The thing about them they some of the guys on Team USA use them and some don't for fishing here in the states. As for the two brands you mention there really isn't too much difference.

If your really looking into trying these this year the World Ice Fishing Championships are in Wausau, WI in Feb. The best in the world will be coming over seas onto our frozen lakes. Also, try to PM Cyberfish on this forum. He is my tournament fishing partner and also on the USA Ice Team. During tryouts all he used was a Jonttu rod you have pictured.

Im reading on iceleaders about them now. Similar concept to a jiggle stick I guess. But these look to be a lot nicer.

Marmish also has some really nice jigs I would like to get.
