Waterfolw Zones in MN???

Recommended Posts

what do people think of the 3 zones and the boundaries? personally i think the northern line needs to be moved north quite a bit, possible north of leech. it really limits the people that have had their best shoots over thanksgiving on big waters for divers. brainerd lakes area to leech is super limited with being in the north zone. DNR raised limits on divers, yet the majority of the people that shoot them on big waters in that area are shut down earlier. the past 5 years we have shot many many divers over thanksgiving, now we get to watch the rafts of bills land on the water over thanksgiving and not be able to do anything about it. at this point in the year we have 13 ducks, with someone out in the blind nearly everyday since opener. if the dnr does not want to change the lines at least change the dates. have the north zone exactly like the south. open for a week, close 2 weeks and be open longer in december to get the late divers

I think they should have a split season state wide like the south zone!

I copied this from another post!

A friend of mine went fishing last Saturday in the south metro area and he said they were shooting alot on a WMA and he stopped at the access asked the hunters what they were shooting and they said geese!

My friend didn't know the season is closed until the 13th, I would have called TIP's on them!

Some people are just plain ignorant and too lazy to read the regulations!
