Lake of the Woods, Minaki cabins and fishing Walleyes

Gents, I am doing some homework for next spring and looking to find a decent sized lake with decent walleyes. My buddy and I are jig fisherman from Manitoba, tons of experience and a few trophies along the way. I am hoping to stay in a cabin, rent a boat and motor in a rustic setting. No offense to any family but I am looking for a true fisherman's lake complete with mosquitoes, outhouses (running water is a bonus but not necessary) and no wifi. You are probably thinking fly-in is the way to go but I would really like to drive into a decently run lodge.

When I get to Kenora do I go north to Minaki or south to LOTW? Any input of lodges, owners or guys that can put me in the bush and onto some walleyes would be greatly appreciated. As you were gentlemen and thank you.

Are you equidistant to either area?

About the same for you to head South to LOW or North to MInaki?

If so, I would head North.

Have fished LOW a few times, its nice but I think if you head North you will weed out more fisherman and have more privacy and I venture even better fishing.

I dont know any resorts up in that area but I am sure someone will chime in.
