Cutting Rig Rite Transducer Plate

MWellner

Recommended Posts

My original transducer plate installed by dealer warped and cracked at the screws and floor was replaced by Lund. I need to cut this Rig Rite to the original size.

Question is what type of 10" blade do I use to cut this? thin kerf or my "glu-lam" blade, and tooth count recommended? This isn't cheap but I can't screw it up with a bad cut. I have the Rig Rite one shown here and I need to cut it to fit the original dimensions because Im not going to drill more holes.

High density polyethylene can be cut with any general purpose woodworking blade.

**EDIT**

Oh, and don't be shy with the speed of your cut, the slower you go the more the plastic will melt and gum up the blade.
