LX5 noise or what

I was using my LX5 on my boat going after crappies. I was in 13 ft of real green stained water. Sensitivity was on 2 and I shut my graph off because it interferes with my Marcum. My question is I see what looks like a fish coming up from the bottom and it slowly goes all the way to the top of the water column. I Have seen this in the winter. Is this air bubbles? I counted it doing this 11 times at one point before it stopped. No other boats were within 100 yards of me. Just curious if anybody knows what this is. Did manage to get 4 crappies over 10 inches. Time to break out the small poles. Hard to get a 6ft pole in the cone range.

More than likely air bubbles, I've observed it quite often during the winter.

yea I have to agree that is just air bubbles or maybe methane gas. I have fished a lake that gives off methane bubbles year round and you see that on the flasher.
