fishfinder72
Hello,I have had a few things pop up on my 2006 silverado 1500 4x4 with a 5.3 in and am wondering if it could be transmission related. It has about 126,000 miles. Approximately 2 months ago my service 4x4 light appeared for 1 day. Before I could run the code it was gone and has not been back since. Yesterday I went to leave a parking lot and it seemed to not be speeding up. The RPMs were jumping up and down during the lag and then it would shift up and continue as normal. This happened approximately 3 times within a 10 minute time frame after leaving stop signs. Approximately 20 minutes later at a stop it operated as it normally would and I have not had issues since. If there is an issue I would like to catch it as soon as possible. Would it be a good decision to have a flush and filter done on the transmission? Is it possible it could be caused by a sensor or something else? shortfatguy
I would suspect the transfer case. Check the fluid level before you drive it anymore and if it is low make sure you ad the correct fluid.
