MNBIGBEAR
I am looking for suggestions for a trip to Ontario next year sometime. I am interested in camping but would be open to a cabin if it is reasonably priced. Would like someplace that offers access to Walleye, Musky or Lake Trout fishing. Any suggestions or recommendations from previous experiences would be much appreciated.
magnum mike
You will probably get some hits on here but if you are starting from scratch, I would think about one of the sport shows in the spring. Duluth is OK but the big one in the metro is better. The both have several exhibitors that are very easy to talk to.
brmuskie
You can camp if you really want to but I gave up on camping when sites were costing $25 per night, add in a daily dock fee, launch fee, and the fact that you are sleeping in a tent and all of a sudden cabins don't seem to out of reach. The last trip in a tent I had up there it rained a lot. Hard to dry things out in a tent.I looked around and found many places in Ontario where you can stay for $40 per person per night or less. I found one place that was $30 per night/person. For me that wasn't a bad deal since we only go for 4 nights. If you go for a week you might be able to get by for even less if you search around.
