Thanks for the welcome Rick. Looking forward to a great season and judging by the weather today it won't be long until the flurries are flying. I'm already thinking of those last fall days of lunker walleye fishing, putting away the boat, and taking the sled out for some excitement. smile.gif

Paul-
You race(d)? Cool! Now the question is....what do you race?
I have a decent sled, but is seems that I have turned my high(er) performance sled into an ice fishing machine instead of actually riding trails.
This cooler weather is a sign of the times...I just winterized my "walleye" boat all day yesterday frown.gif Man, summer flew by. It is duck season soon and at least I can still sneak out in the duck boat for some walleyes.
Congrats on being a moderator and Forum Guide Pro!

Cd, Thanks and great to hear from you. Can understand how you feel about putting the boat away, it's a tough call.

My current ride is a '97 Polaris Indy. I have always had Polaris, not that I'm one of those guys that says it's the best out there and "everything else sucks." Just that's what I started on and I never was given a reason to change because of the performance and handling that I could get out of them. I don't race anymore, gave it up a two years ago as it's a young mans sport and the body couldn't take it anymore. smile.gif

The only thing that kept me going that long was the technological advances that they have made. I remember the first sled that I raced was the first prototype of the Polaris Indy Triple Cylinder liquod cooled version. They guarnteed me it would do a 95 miles an hour. What they didn't tell me was that above 70 miles an hour it was like riding a bull in a rodeo only they didn't give you that little rope to hang on to.
