CAMAN
Is there a way to calibrate the auto-dim feature on the (non-Onstar) temp/compass equipped rear view mirrors? The reason I ask is the LCD display on it is extremely difficult to read in the daylight. I know it works because I have a fiberglass tonneau cover installed and if I have an over-sized object in the bed and the cover gets angled just right to have the sun shine directly onto the mirror sensor it lights right up. It's also a crew-cab with tinted windows and light doesn't come in very well so I figure that's the issue.I've had the issue since I bought it new but it wasn't much of an problem then. I kept meaning to bring it in to get it looked at, but of course it wasn't a "serious" issue and would rather go fishing and kept pushing it back, and never needing to bring the truck in for any more serious warranty work it never got looked at. Now the older I get, the older my eyes get also and I need to almost have my nose in the mirror to read the temperature. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
