798ci on a 400TX mount?

My buddy has a Humminbird 400TX on his boat. Can I use my 798ci on his boat by just popping It on to his mount? I know the side imaging won't work, put what about the transducer and power connection? It really the gps when we use his boat!

I got this reply from Humminbird:

"The transducer from the 400TX will not have temperature built in so you will have the manually boot the unit up in the Normal mode upon startup, otherwise, yes. Your 798ci SI Combo will work as a plug and play on the existing station. You would need to change the transducer select to quad beam or dual beam to get the best features from the existing transducer on the 400TX."

 I think that is totally awesome! Now I will have basically have what amounts to a 788ci when used on my buddy's boat. I will miss the side imaging, but will have the gps with a Lakemaster chip working for me and the sonar. Thanks Humminbird!
