LEECH21
I posted a topic 2 days ago about where to find muskies in Waconia....well I found one. We only fished for about 1.5 hours on Wednesday afternoon. In that time I caught my biggest largemouth at 22" and my first musky at 39"! They both hit super hard. Not too bad for only my second time musky fishing. What a thrill these fish are to catch. I just couldn't believe the luck I had in one and a half hours of fishing. This lake is worth a second trip as this one was limited on time.------------------<*)))))))><{[This message has been edited by LEECH21 (edited 08-26-2004).]
ARMAN-21
I'm glad to hear that you had a good time. Great job! I live in Wacoina, let me know next time you feel like hitting the lake and maybe we can hook up. later-------------------ARMAN-

marine_1
Perhaps you'll invest in a map this time.
TMan
How's that go? Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while? Good job Leech, but I can tell you that you might come back down and get skunked the next 10 times, so don't get too high on it...that's just musky fishing. jda53
I've fished Waconia 5-6 times past year. Feast or famine, Lots of casts, no fish then 3 weeks ago, 2 skis in 10 minutes a 47" and a 42". The first lure was still all twisted up in the net while the 2nd fish was on. Amazing, probley fish another 10 years and the same thing won't happen. have seen 50"+ though on that lake so-I'll be back
TMan
I'd say right in front of the beach, right?TMan
marine_1
Leech, You really should support the weight of that fish with a horizontal hold. Holding the fish like that can dislocate or even break the fish's jaw.
Mat O
I strongly agree with the previous poster. I support any fish 30" or bigger. Nice catches!!!
