It is heavy no doubt, I have my Saltist 20 on a 9ft bulldawg rod, I think big blades wear a guy out no matter what if you throw them long enough, I get the most worn out from just doing a big L or figure 8 after every cast.

One thing I must say about a sore back is get a butt seat, man do I love my butt seat. And with that rod, I tend to hold it up higher in my arm pit and that helps my lower back.

-It casts like a dream

-Its light

-Its fast (line retrieve)

-Its small in my hand...no more soreness in wrist

-Its powerful

Only issue is, I don't feel comfortable pulling 10's with it. Don't want to burn it up. And that's fine, I've got other reels I can do that with. But like others have said, this has changed my opinion on what a muskie reel should feel like.
