Plastic Baits

curious if there is a "known" shelf life on plastic baits.....ive had some for a few years now like minnows, colored crawlers, twister tails, etc., just wondering if the stuff that comes package scented ever wears out/off if liquid leaks out. never been fortunate enuff to catch something on a plastic bait cept occasional twister tail if the crawler bite fails. are the plastics junk after a few years?

All you need to do is take a look at them is judge their condition. The only reason that plastic baits would "expire" is because the liquid in the bag either leaked out and the baits would be dried and shriveled up, or if they got melted like if they were sitting in a car. But generally their shelf life is however long you can own them without losing or damaging them while catching a fish.
