I bought a kayak the other day, it’s a angler 144. Anyway, after I got it home I noticed in one of the cup holders there where four plastic caps with string that runs through them. I have no idea what they are for. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I have an Axis Dagger and have something similar. I find it helpful in holding a flybox, or waterbottle down...I also leave my fishfinder thermometor coiled up secure under the bungee. I'll try to take pics tomorrow when I'm out.

Hardwaterfisher,

I would bet that what you are describing are scupper plugs. The angler 144 is a sit on top kayak with holes thru the deck into the water beneath. The scupper plugs can be used in those holes to keep water from coming up thru the holes if the kayak is weighed down a bit or if the water is a bit rough. If the kayak fills with some water, just pull out the scupper plugs and it will drain.

Get that yak out in the weeds and get it slimed!!

Have fun,
