I was at the TBF National championship and my day two partner was a division leader and ended up qualifying for the BFL. We had a camera boat and a camera man in our boat 3/4 of the day. Very interesting conducting interviews and so forth while fishing the biggest tournement of his life to date. One of the TBF guys actually ended up winning Potomac yesterday. Cool stuff and fun to follow forsure.

I just read the re-cap, and I was surprised that none of the top finishers caught with a frog. The best frogging I've had on the Potomac was in mid/late May. Sounds like it was mostly a plastic and jig bite this time.

Chatterbaits, swim jigs, and stick baits prevailed from what I saw. 2nd place made an insane comeback from 90th place on day one.

Minnesotas Jim Moynagh got a BAD beat out there. On Day 3 his co angler accidentally put one of his fish in Moynaghs side of the livewell and none of the fish were tagged. They called the Director and he made Moynagh throw back all but one fish and had to start all over. Predicted to have put him back about 2 pounds give or take. He ended up in 4th. That would be a hard one to forget/swallow.
