2000 f150 rear axle ?

Recommended Posts

Howdy all,

I am working on a 2000 f150 4x4 that I sold to my nephew a couple years ago. The springs on the rear axle, especially on the drivers side, are a cocked a fair amount (the bottom spring is off a 1/2" from the upper spring) and the passenger side isn't as bad, but show the same directional "tweak" as the other side... Also, the drivers rear tire is worn very badly on the inner side... The tires have not been rotated since they where put on I found out... ( which is at least 10K ago by best guess) So Its not the worn ball joints up front that did it...

so, I am thinking the rear end is cocked... Can and will they address this when they align the front end? Does it need to be requested specifically, and do all alignment racks/shops have the ability to do this...

Thanks all!

which would cause the axle to shift... I ran into this on a trailer now that I think of it... caused a lot of headaches, and was a fairly simple fix when i figured it out... I will check it, out... seams like a good possibility... Thanks for jogging my memory!
