The water temps up to 60 degrees in the main channel of the sippi and up to 64 degrees in a couple backwater locations. Me and my buddy were thinking about trying to catch a couple early flatheads. Worth are time this early or what are you guys thinking.

Thats what we were thinking too. The 64 degree temps were coming from a slow moving creek that feeds into the sippi. Its nice and slow moving and warms up real fast during the day and spills out into a stump infested portion of the sippi. Theres bout a 8 ft hole under the bridge where it meets the main river where it immediatly goes into numerous stumps and follows a wood infested bank to some nice deep holes. Sounds like money in the bank! lol. Time will tell.

Went out tonight for a couple hours in the spot i mentioned before. Had one bully get nailed by something but was wrapped up in a tree branch pretty good so we didnt know it go hit till we reeled him and part of the tree in. Had a bunch of teeth marks from about an inch behind his dorsal fin till the end of his tail and was missing most of his skin on one side. So something was hungry. Felt good to get out though!!
