Planted lettuce on St. Patrick's Day

That's super! Wish I had remembered to buy lettuce. frown Put in 3 rows of radishes and a row of snow peas, all ~ 15' long here today. Ditto on the earliness. Soil very mellow, worked up like a dream. Till once and plant. It's on a south facing slope and was surprisingly good moisture. Rain forecast overnite and good chances thru Tuesday! smile

Back in 94 or 95ish the growing season started off a lot like this. For some reason i remember planting salad stuff on march 20 th under wire/plastic tunnel cold frames. There was only one harder frost after, which knocked them back, but did not kill and by mid May was already harvesting. Still, a lot can happen in the next month........
