I have been visiting this site for while and finally joined and wanted to share our day of fishing. Our group fished Mille Lacs 3/11, 3/12 and 3/13 and put about 31 miles on the ATV. We were mainly fishing for perch but never found them in good numbers. We caught about a dozen descent Walleye and several smaller ones. On Tuesday we put in at Garrison and were able to get over the pressure ridge with the ATV and trailer. We drilled the first hole about 0830 and started catching the Tullibee, we caught our five man limit in just under 2 hours. We released many more and lost our fair share too. The pic on the middle is what we caught them on, we all started with other jigs on but one us had one of these on and it worked very well, so we all switched we tipped them with red spikes. I think they are called prop jigs. Now its time to fire up the smoker!

If only I had a atv to get out. I have a smoker just need to find a way to get at those tullies. It sounds like the season may have flew past again, this year.

I had thought just fun, giggles and such to catch a big tullibe and mount it for a gag gift. I may do it with a perch, mounted upside down, like it was floating around. Maybe a few guys would buy them to give to that horses a@@@ brother-in-law that always brags about his catches, or whines that he can't catch any fish. We all know those type of people, tell them it's the one they wise would have gotten away.
