Lund03
Seen this grill at Gander Mtn the other day and was wondering if anyone knows anything about it. Looks like a good unit and can do multiple things with it but hoping someone out there has used it. Thanks for your help!!
DonBo
Here's some reviews I found online:ProductWas this review helpful to you?YesYes|NoNo|Report inappropriate contentOverall Rating: 5 out of 5 Excellent Value and Performance,Date:02/07/2012By:Fredincharge Read All My ReviewsYou can't go wrong with this smoker/grill for fun to use and awesome capability. The hardware is well packaged and all items are labeled, including listing on all boxes. The assembly instructions are well written and illustrated, making it a snap to put together with only a philips head screwdriver and pliers. Total time by myself was 3 hours. I've used the sear section, propane grill, smoker grill and wood side box to grill and smoke beef, pork, chicken and fish. The propane side gets to temperature quick and holds well with temperatures up to a little over 600 degrees. The smoker wood side box is easy to load charcoal or wood from top or side. Nice feature with grill on wood box for use on small charcoal grilling jobs. Clean up is easy, especially the with the 2 large pullout drip trays. This is the best value unit I have found. A couple of items recommended by the reviews make this great grill work even better. Remove the grill lids' corner rubber grommets to provide better sealing. Line the drip pans with aluminum foil for easier cleanup. Place wire mesh grate covers (used for fish and vegetables) on the charcoal and wood racks in the smoker to keep charcoal from falling through.Quality: 5 out of 5 Value: 5 out of 5 Pros: quality, inexpensive, easy cleanup, excellent temperature controlCons: lid seals could be betterGender:MaleAge:65 and upOwned product:under 1 monthUses product:Every weekPurchase location:In ClubHow did you hear about Ratings & Reviews?SamsClub.comWould you recommend this product to a friend? Other than that it is well built and sturdy. The only other complaint would be the price. It's 349 on line but the shipping is 180 bucks. Sams clubs don't stock it and they won't get one shipped in so you can avoid the shipping charge so it really costs 580 bucks!Quality: 5 out of 5 Value: 3 out of 5 Pros: qualityCons: price isnt as advertisedGender:MaleAge:45-54Owned product:1-5 monthsUses product:Every weekPurchase location:OnlineHow did you hear about Ratings & Reviews?SamsClub.comWould you recommend this product to a friend? Wanted something for every occasion. This is it. Smoke a 10 lb boston butt the first day after seasoning the grill. Best smokey flavor ever. Only used six pieces of hickory for over 5 hours of smoking. Stayed right at 215 degrees the entire afternoon. Pulled apart like nobodys business. Chicken legs the second night. Best I ever did. Over an hour, fall off the bone, saved my marriage I think. High quality, easy to assemble, and easy to use. Hope it last for years.Quality: 5 out of 5 Value: 5 out of 5 Pros: quality, easy to assemble, easy to regulate tempGender:MaleAge:35-44Owned product:1-5 monthsUses product:Every weekPurchase location:In ClubHow did you hear about Ratings & Reviews?SamsClub.comWould you recommend this product to a friend? After setting a pan of sauce on the firebox to keep warm, the small scratches started to rust and it hasn't stopped even after cleaning and repainting. As mentioned in other reviews the propane tank bracket is too flexable and the tank falls out. I have to use bricks to support it. The paint is flaking off the firebox. The chrome ends on the handles have fallen off. The propane grill doesn't get hot enough for grilling. The first cover I bought from the company (not included with grill) developed holes at the firebox handle and the chimney vent.Quality: 1 out of 5 Value: 1 out of 5 Pros: 2 fuels, good smokerCons: qualityGender:MaleAge:55-64Owned product:more than 1 yearUses product:MonthlyPurchase location:In ClubWould you recommend this product to a friend?
