Bought the audiobook on audible and finished all 48 hours on Saturday via my Kindle. Good stuff to be sure. It's the first audiobook I've listened to and it's got me hooked. While 48 hours seems like a lot, it's fairly easy when you consider you can listen in the car, on the treadmill, or for an hour or so when you go to bed at night.

Anyway, Stephen King cut 400 plus pages from his first draft of the original novel because the "accounting department" figured out how long the book could be based on the length and cost of his last hard cover sale. While this version doesn't have a different ending or have the characters act differently, it's a richer story he claims. I never read the original but this is great book. And I'm digging the audio book format. Let's you read more than you could otherwise!
