I have a Vexilar underwater TV that I want to hook up to a second monitor/TV. It says specifically to make sure that the receiving TV or recorder should have a 'AV-IN port'. I don't have a generator so I need to run it off of 12 volts. My fishhouse has a cigarette lighter plug.
I can either
a) get a small 110 volt TV and a 150 watt invertor. At Best Buy the TV was $100 and the invertor $59. The TV took 18 watts to run (that seemed low to me).
get a small 12 volt TV/DVD player. Doing some searches online puts them into the $100-200 range for a 13 inch. Most also come with a 110 adapter.
Seems to me that b. would be the better option, no power lost in conversion but I'm not a techie or a sparkie so I thought I'd ask the experts.

We're usually fully stocked but you caught me on a bad night!
Tuesday night is usually "board meeting" night if you know what I mean. Stop in and have a tasty beverage some Tuesday night after these holidays are over and things get back to normal.
Im sure I will be back soon my kids go through the pork burgers pretty quick. Suzy knows who I am she can help ya. Cant ever turn down a nice cold Busch Light.
