Lowrance Elite-4 vs. Humminbird 385i

Looking to buy a new lower end sonar/gps combo. I'm looking at the Lowrance Elite-4 color sonar/gps or the Humminbird 385i color sonar/gps. The Lowrance is 300 and the Bird is 400. They both have a 3.5" screen, same pixels, and dual beam ducer. Is there any reason I would want to pay the extra 100 for the Bird or would the Lowrance be a good choice? Do most of you still prefer the regular sonar or DSI? Thanks for the help!

i have HB 597 ci HD, 1 step up in the HB series with larger screen & luv it. no knowledge on the lowrance

I have the 385ci and love it. Hands down the best money I have spent in fishing equipment in a while. Awesome in summer and ice fishing.

I like the Lowrance over the Bird just for the fact that is it more streamlined. They are almost identical other than that. Like you said same size, same pixels, and dual beam sonar. You can also Ice fish with the Elite 4.
