Carpet Cleaning Help

Hey folks,

Just got my boat out of storage today, and plan on fishing in it this weekend. I have basic outdoor carpet in my boat, and theres dirt on much of the carpet in the front and back of the boat. Just curious as to what you guys use? i will scrub or do anything to clean it up nicely. Also figured powerwashing wouldnt be a bad idea.

Take it to a self serve car wash, vaccuum it up as best as possible then spray it down working from front to back. Make sure the plug is pulled to let the water drain out.

Do you have somewhere warm to keep it afterwards so it doesn't become a huge block of ice?

If there's one located near you, take it through a self serve car wash. Loosen up the dirt with a firm bristle broom or brush and powerwash w clear rinse water (hot if possible). Works pretty well and other than the cost (no more than a few bucks in quarters)it's less hassle than trying to do it in your garage or driveway. Do not use soap! Finally, as soon as weather allows, let your rig sit in the sun to fully dry out your carpet.
