wingnut38
so i pulled a couple packages of short ribs out of my freezer from the local farmer. i unwrapped them and they seem like they are all fat and bone. (hardly any meat) i've never prepared short ribs before. is this normal? if so, anybody have any good recipes for these? or should i just feed em to the crows? reinhard1
mostly fat short ribs are realy not the norm. most of the fat is normaly a layer near the flat part of the bone itself with meat mostly at the top or fat/meat in layers so to speak. short ribs can be used for soups, stews, and even on the grill. it sounds to me the way you describe them that you realy cant do much with them except feed them to the crows. i have some recipies i could offer you if you want, but it sounds like there is not much you can do with those. good luck.
