Propane Useage?

Pondering the idea of getting a permanant fish house and wondering how long a 100lb propane tank last for weekend use on a built 10x16 fish house. I know it depends on how well it is insulated and all that. How many weekends can a guy get out of it.

Several factors will determine how long a 100lb will last.

1. What kind of furnace you have?

2. What is the average temp outside? Is it windy>

3. How warm inside do you like your house?

4. How well you house is insulated?

I have a 10 x 20 with a high efficiency ventless heater. This year I went through less than 100 lbs. Last year I went through about 150 lbs.

I was using from New Years to this weekend, missing two weekends in between.

I went through about 125-150 lbs in a 7x14 averaging prob 3-4 days a week. I left pilot running for around 3 weeks of it besides.

just a ballpark but youll average 75 to 150 lbs depending on all the factors for a whole season.

I run my rental houses off of 100# tanks. They are on at least medium heat most of the time and a 100# tank lasts approximately 12 to 14 days of continual use.

I used under 60lbs in my 8x8 this year. Thats fishing about 4-5 days a week since late Dec.

I went through 30lbs usually with in 6 maybe 7 days. I have a 7x13 house and it was 70 degrees every night when i was in it and when I'm not I turn it down to 55 degrees roughly.
