loadmaster
Have and older Lund with walk thru windshield. Replaced the entire counsel on both sides. I used Marine Plywood and sealed. I am going to replace the floor this year so as long as I have the counsels off I thought I would fiberglass everything. My question is this, what do I have to do to the wood in preparation to accept the glass. They are now smooth and shiny.>>>later the load
ANYFISH2
What did you seal the plywood with? In most cases if you can just fiberglass over plywood, it will bond just fine. Being the plywood is now coated with something, I would sand the finish to to open up the pores in the areas you intend to laminate and fiberglass over it, wet the plywood out with resin first then add your resin soaked fiberglass mat on top of that. everything should bond well. loadmaster
Spar varnish. Also can you add coloring to the resin?
ANYFISH2
I would diffinatly scuff the varnish before appling the resin/fiberglass. I think you will be fine adding pigment to your resin, we add white or grey to ours for certain applications.
