New Connection Between North and South Lindstrom Lakes

Today MnDOT opened bids for construction of a new bridge and channel between North and South Lindstrom. The new channel will be 24 feet wide at the bottom. At the current water elevation, the depth of the water at the bridge will be about 2 feet deep. If the water elevation ever gets back to the top of weir elevation at the outlet of Chisago Lake, the water depth at the bridge will be about 8 feet deep. The completion date for the project is June 21, 2013.

Interesting.. right now its about 2-3 feet above water..

Hmmm, I should drag the canoe out there before they get that done. It's been a very long time, but I remember having good success with bass.
