I know both the Yamie T60 and Merc Bigfoot 60 are good motors for pontoon, and I like both brands. Price is pretty close, with Merc cheaper. My bias is toward Mercs due to our good luck with them in past 30 years, but any of you guys who work on them regularly have any known items for either of them? Will go onto pontoon. My guess is that these motors are not in for much more than service, but I never know... smile

Don't care about resale, will keep it forever most likely, and performance in this situation doesnt' matter, both are high thrust models and will work fine.

Thanks MM. I am guessing from the response that these motors are both good contenders for my usage. The price will probably dictate which I get, and that looks like Merc so far. Appreciate the info!
