Nano filament ??

I just bought 2 lb nano filament for pan fish. Pretty spendy! Is it worth it? should I get the 6 lb for walleye/ pike?

I'm not a fan. It frays easily and becomes weak. However, if you'd still like to use it, Joe's has it in bulk and will spool it free of charge if you buy a reel. That's where I got it, but will be replacing it with P-line.

I found the 1 and 2 pound frayed easy as mentioned above, the 3 and 4 pound seem pretty decent and I have not had the fraying issue with them. I was able to spool 4 to 5 reels per spool so the price per spool is not out of line. If you keep it just keep an eye on the frays and retie when you see it.

I have 6 lb on and like it so far. I really haven't noticed any fraying (not as bad as Fireline does). I personally wouldn't go lower than 6lb because this stuff is so thin it can be hard to work with.

I use it on open water and really like it. I've heard ice can be tough on it though.
