Auger throttle trouble

I assume this has happened to people before so I wanted to get an opinion from the masses.

Like and [PoorWordUsage], I tried to unfreeze my throttle up by pulling the throttle trigger. Of course, the cable pulled through the plastic throttle (on my stikemaster).

I need to fix this, I tried cutting and thin cut on it, melting the hole it pulled through back together with a lighter and putting the cable back in. This worked for a few outings till it pulled through again.

Can I fix this or should I just buy a new throttle cable unit from somewhere like D rock, your help would be awesome, I am kinda do it yourself-er so I would like to try to fix it.

I had the lever crack on my SM a few weeks ago, needed a new cable and assembly - I think it was $15 at D-rock. If its just the lever thats messed up they're very similar to brake levers for mountain bikes (assuming a bit older auger not new SM). For $15 the OEM part was worth it to me, if it was $30 I probably would have rigged an old brake lever that I have laying around.

Also depends if it pulled out on the throttle handle or the powerhead
