coyote trapping

Recommended Posts

My dog has been attacked two of the last three nights by a really bold coyote. What is the most effective way to trap this thing already. Luckily the dog has escaped unharmed, but it is to the point where it is just laying in the weeds waiting for me to let him out.

Find a path that yote travels and use a snare.

The biggest problem you my have is with other dogs so you have to be extra careful .

Are you in city limits? Check the laws pertaining to trapping in your city.there may be ordanances that don't allow that sort of thing unless you are a licensed varmit/nusence trapper.

You also need a license to trap.

Could you hunt the yote ?

I would do the same thing. Snaring is the most effective way to harvest predators. If you can find fresh tracks some morning and call close by, you might have luck.

maybe tie your dog to a tree in the back yard and wait with the shot gun...whatever works for you.

good luck.
