muskymike
Anyone cleaning out their gear or upgrading?Looking for a used set-up with an Abu 7000 on it, rod length not important at this time.I have musky disease and I'm looking to infect a few of my local friends. Need a rod for occasional rookie friends to use. It's hard to get them to lay out $250 when they've never even seen one of these beautiful hogs. I had some luck getting them on the lake late last fall, but burned them out a little in 32 degree and rainy conditions at 5am. They think I've lost all cognitive abilities. As we know, it only takes one catch to be permanently disabled with this wonderful disease.By the way, the worm is turning, ice will be melting soon. Can wait till June when the disease comes out of remission and is flaring hardcore!------------------[This message has been edited by muskymike (edited 02-22-2003).]
Steve Foss
muskymike: Probably you'd have better luck looking for a used 6500. Very few 7000s out there but, as you know I'm sure, tons of 6500s. hsolist is littered with them, and I got a nice C3 there used a couple years back for $35. Put that on a nice inexpensive 7-foot Berkley Lightning Rod, cost about $40, and you've got a nice rig for those musky newcomers for $100 or less.
