Recommended Posts

mm-there was lots of vehicle traffic on LOTW-pretty sure Gordys road has been open for quite a while-we saw truck tracks in the lower part of Whitefish Bay too-we had plenty of ice everywhere we drilled-Crow had some late ice in areas so beware-

Thanks for the update. We pretty much stick to LOW. We are all Iron Range crappie & walleye guys. We have talked about getting into trout while we are up there but so far it hasn't happened.

I have enough bad habits and probably don't need to add trout fishing to that list. Just ask my wife...

Yep, stay away from the trout...it's a BAD addiction....I hate to think how much I have tied up into trout stuff I only use once a winter and once a summer....But honestly, whats it gonna hurt for you to try it once, right.............. wink

Crow Lake has 12-14 inches of ice, some are even drive on Crow Lake. Gordy's road has been open since December 28,2011 and LOTW has almost 24 inches of ice, we are driving almost out to Miles Bay with vechicles. White Fish is no longer a threat and the fishing has been great.
