lawman
I have a one year old Minnkota 80# Power Drive trolling motor. Can I add the i-pilot feature? Will my footpedal still work?
0 stick
No foot pedal on the Powerdrive. Terrova, I believe yes, but not on the Powerdrive. From what I have heard from most, they never use the foot pedal when they go to iPilot. I just upgraded and thought long and hard if I wanted a foot pedal, and I went without the pedal. 0 Esox_Magnum
Correct, V2 you use either the remote or pedal but not both, Terrova you can use both... Depending on your fishing style if you can live without the pedal, I use the pedal more than remote but I cast 99% of the time and to much trouble to stop working a bait to adjust the motor... 0 PerchJerker
The others are correct ..... if it is a PowerDrive V2 with i-Pilot you will have the remote only, no foot pedal. If it is a Terrova with i-Pilot you will have foot pedal and remote. As long as your PowerDrive is a PD V2, you can add the i-Pilot.Regarding foot pedal vs. remote, I agree with Esox_Magnum ..... I use my foot pedal much more than I use my remote ..... but it all comes down to your style of fishing and what you're comfortable with.
0 reddog
I pitch jigs 100% of the time when my Terrova is in the water. Used the foot pad once.. Its been stowed in a rear compartment ever since..
