Guest
I was talking to a buddy yesterday and he said they just put new pike regs on 77 lakes across the state. He said they used everything from protected slots to maximum size limits to minimum sizes. I personally hope this is true, I'm sick of catching small pike. Thanks in advance if anyone knows anything. Guest
Well the DNR is considering the new regs on about 70 lakes they wouldn't go into effect until 2003. I'm not real impressed with their list of lakes so it seems like a bit of a waste.
Dan L
There are over 70 lakes being considered for special pike regs. Of those lakes, 30 - 50 lakes are expected to be approved for special regs. The regulations will be in place on the 2003 opener. These lakes are listed on the Minnesota DNR web site. All of these lakes have to go thru a process before they are approved. If you want them approved make sure and let the DNR know.
