Jiify stx pro II with 3500 problems- need expert help!

Question

having problems with my jiffy model 34..takes forever to start. Looking for any suggestions. Probably has 60 holes on it. Is it too late to do the breakin on it? or anyone have any suggestions, i run the jiffy oil on it. Thanks,

This happened to my auger last year and I contacted jiffy. I spoke to a number of different people before I spoke directly with a troubleshooter. Long story short they sent me a new carb, and mine seems to work better so far. What he told me was in this order to try to diagnose the problem of starting hard was:

Turn switch on

give it 3-5 slow full primes

switch it to choke

grasp throttle fully

Then try and start... he said the most it should take only 3-5 pulls on this model.

Let me know if this helps... if not be persistent with them, it took the right person and they finally helped me. once it's running it sure cuts nice!
